Hey everyone, MTC here delivering more MTC NEWS. So as I said in my recent poll, I've been feeling very stressed as of late. It's a mix of just overall annoying life matters (my brother's graduation and a constantly misbehaving little sister's yelling to deal with = _
, and the pressure of trying to power through all these commissions on whatever days off I get from day job, which lately I've been getting a lot of hours at (which isn;t a bad thing. I love my job, but trying to get my freelance stuff done in between is what's hard and taxing for me).
All this while trying to work on and produce Fiona Frightening as well. (Which is coming along nicely. we're trying to get the demo done at a good enough pace based on the funding we've gotten from the Fiona commissions. Keep ordering those by the way, they're actually very fun for me!)
At the end of the day, I just don't want to let my stress affect the quality of my work for you guys, which has unfortunately been the case with some recent pieces.
As such, I'm going to take the advice everyone gave me in the poll and reschedule when I'm taking my big break from commission related work. So from now until further notice, I'm gonna kick back and do some of my own stuff for a while. However, there is some stuff I'm obligated to do while I'm on this break. Which includes:
Linkara's titlecards - No way in hell would I stop making these c: And if you want titlecards, I'm ok with doing those for folks still while on break.
Working on Fiona Frightening - I'm still gonna work on any Fiona commissions I have left to do, and any further ones that are ordered in the meantime. I can't give up on my baby c:
Working on the creature commissions for Barron - I'm under contract to finish these, as such I gotta do them. That's not too bad for me though. With enough hours in a day I can get a bunch of those knocked out.
That's about it, anything else I will continue working on when I feel my stress levels have gone down.
Now don't confuse me taking a break from drawing commissions for me not accepting orders. I'll still take orders, I'll just work on them all later.
HOWEVER, if you want something sooner, go commission my wife!
Her prices are lower than mine, and she has a shorter waiting list! So go to her now!
Thanks for all the kind advice guys, and I hope you guys understand my decisions.
